The Counseling Department at Pius XI High School is looking for an energetic, skilled individual to join our team in providing comprehensive counseling services to college bound students in a Catholic school setting. This position will be a 50% (Every day half-day) position. Priority will be given to applicants with bilingual (Spanish) skills. The Counselors at Pius XI High School provide comprehensive individual and group services in the personal, academic, college and career domains. Counselors work particularly closely with students in matters of college selection and application, including collection and dissemination of scholarship opportunities. Counselors coordinate staffings for students, parents and staff regarding academic and personal concerns. The Pius XI counselor needs to be skilled in individual personal counseling, as well experienced in providing topical group counseling services. The school counselor assists students in career exploration in a developmental context. As a Counseling Department team member, the Pius XI counselor helps facilitate Pius XI's school–wide testing programs, Crisis Response plan, and special-needs student accommodations.

Qualifications A Master’s Degree and Licensure as a School Counselor are required. Experience as a high school counselor is preferred. Applicants need to be high-energy individuals with good organization and time management skills.
