
Responsible for delivering effective, high-quality, rigorous instruction in their specific content area. Teachers should be able to implement an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and must collaborate with colleagues in planning and implementing academic quests (studies) in subject areas other than your own. Teachers must integrate culturally based education concepts as well as transformative learning processes. Teachers work with student with differing needs and must be able to differentiate instruction accordingly. Teachers must oversee/advise extracurricular activities (student clubs, intramural sports, music instruction, etc.) and work with students before or after school to support their academic growth. It is preferred that teachers have experience utilizing community experts and community resources to enhance content instruction, integrating literacy, and implementing Service and/or project-based teaching and learning. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and be highly qualified by the State of Arizona to teach the posted subject area and possess a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Possession of an Arizona Teaching Certificate or proof of eligibility, experience in a charter school setting, experience in Curriculum Development and Assessment and Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
